It is our subjective reality which gives our lives meaning and determines the quality and nature of our relationship with the world around us.
The subjective reality exists in our mind as thoughts.
The world around us is painted with qualities based on the value and characteristic of our thoughts toward what we are perceiving.
Where do these values and characteristics come from?
Responses to life's experiences are developed by learned standards and life lessons.
The accumulation of both of these provides our minds with a register of responses.
This mental registry is shaped by our ideas and thoughts, unique and personal to our individual selves.
Learned Standards are in-formed into us, given shape by an accepted and demonstrated belief system instituted within schooling, social norms, religious practices, parental guidance, etc.. These systems of beliefs form for us to a variable degree our understanding of what is right and wrong as well as what works and what doesn't. "In-forming" our thoughts and ideas.
Life Lessons are the test by which we examine whether our Learned Standards have value to our experience. They open the door to seeing for ourselves what does work and does not work for us as individuals. A Litmus Test as it were, to determine an acid or a base, truth or a lie, enjoyment or displeasure.... Our own Personal and Unique Thoughts and Ideas about Life as demonstrated through Experiences.
Regardless of what may occur in the Objective Reality, it is the Subjective Reality which has more substance and meaning to the individual. The subjective shapes the world around us and gives it color and sound. Beauty or ugliness are truly in the eye of the beholder.
